Essa banda inglesa de Folk Rock, Soft Rock e Country Rock foi muito popular na primeira metade dos anos 70, sendo mais conhecida até hoje pelos sucessos: "A Horse with No Name", "Tim Man", "I Need You" e "Ventura Highway", entre outras.
Embora eles não fossem muito aceitos pela crítica especializada da época, a banda teve um excepcional sucesso comercial na venda de álbuns e singles.
